Torii (鳥居) is a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine.

This one is in Hie Shrine. It is not as big as those found in Kyoto but it long enough to get an interesting photos, and not so many people there too. Interesting to know that many Japanese (I talk to) don't know such thing exit in the middle of Tokyo.
